Jake Kowal

Jake is the current Double Up Food Bucks Portfolio Manager focused on brick and mortar stores. In this role, Jake is responsible for expanding the Double Up Food Bucks program to grocery stores across New York State. 

Jake joined Field and Fork Network from the higher education sector, where he worked in grant and proposal development. He received a master’s of business administration from Central Michigan University and also has a bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University. Jake was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio but he most recently lived in rural Michigan. 

He currently lives in Buffalo with his partner, Vivian, and their cat, Ralph. On nice days, you will likely find Jake outside biking, hiking, camping or just enjoying one of Buffalo’s fantastic parks. While on less than nice days, he will probably be cooking, reading, or working in the pottery studio.
