Are you passionate about food systems, community health, and building local partnerships? Join Field & Fork Network as an AmeriCorps VISTA to support Double Up Food Bucks New York (DUFBNY)—a SNAP incentive program that helps families bring home more fresh, local produce. As the Albany-based VISTA, you’ll work directly with the Double Up program team to support key food access initiatives, strengthen community outreach, and help grow long-term community-driven programs in the Capital Region.

What You’ll Do

  • Build a Community Ambassador Program to strengthen local outreach and engagement.�
  • Recruit, train, and support Community Ambassadors to promote DUFB in their communities.�
  • Develop educational materials focused on food access, nutrition, and meal preparation.�
  • Engage with community partnersand help to build capacity for Capital Roots and Double Up Food Bucks through community connections in the Capital region�
  • Support fresh food access initiatives like Capital Roots’ Veggie Van, gardens, and food programs.�

Who We’re Looking For

  • Committed to food justice, public health, and community empowerment.
  • Strong communicator with solid organizational and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience or interest in outreach, community programs, or evaluation is a plus.
