Position Details
- Job Title: Community Food Advocate
- Location: Buffalo, NY
- Type: Part-Time, Temporary (May–September)
- Pay: $25/hour (minimum 10 hours/month)
What You’ll Do
- Educate your community about Double Up Food Bucks
- Assist SNAP shoppers in using the program at participating stores, markets, and events
- Gather feedback and share ideas with the Double Up Food Bucks team
- Attend monthly virtual meetings with fellow advocates
Who We’re Looking For
- At least 18 years old
- Personal experience using SNAP and/or Double Up Food Bucks
- English speaker (multilingual applicants encouraged!)
- Available to work 10 hours/month
- Friendly and great at explaining things
