Are you passionate about food systems, community health, and building local partnerships? Join Field & Fork Network as an AmeriCorps VISTA to support Double Up Food Bucks New York (DUFBNY)—a SNAP incentive program that helps families bring home more fresh, local produce. As the Buffalo-based VISTA, you’ll work directly with the Double Up program team to support key food access initiatives, strengthen community outreach, and help grow long-term community-driven programs in the Western New York.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and support a Community Ambassador Program, including outreach planning, scheduling, and evaluation.
- Evaluate the 2024–2025 Community Ambassador pilot and use findings to develop a sustainability plan for future iterations of the program.
- Assist in the development of a Produce Prescription program by conducting research, preparing materials, and supporting relationships with healthcare partners.
- Help build a Community Advisory Board of customers, partners, and sites to provide ongoing program input and guidance.
- Create and update toolkits, surveys, and outreach materials to support education and community engagement.
- Strengthen relationships with local partners, vendors, and site managers to increase awareness and improve program delivery.

- Strong communicator with solid organizational and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Experience or interest in outreach, community programs, or evaluation is a plus.
