2025 Farmers Market Season Application is Live

Field & Fork Network’s Double Up Food Bucks NY is seeking applications for the 2025 Double Up Food Bucks NY Market Season, running from June 1, 2025 through October 31, 2025. New York State farmers markets, mobile markets, and farm stands that accept SNAP benefits are now eligible to apply.

About Double Up Food Bucks NY

Double Up Food Bucks New York (DUFB NY) is a statewide nutrition incentive program, led by Field & Fork Network, that helps low-income families access healthy, locally grown produce while supporting New York farmers.

DUFB NY helps families enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) purchase more fruits and vegetables. For every dollar spent on SNAP-eligible items, customers receive a dollar in Double Up Food Bucks to spend on local produce.

How it Works

Learn how Double Up works at farmers markets, farm stands, mobile markets, and CSA programs. Each location type has its own process. Use the specific application linked below to get started!

Farmers Markets

  • SNAP purchases are matched $1 for $1, up to $20 per day, in Double Up tokens that can be used to purchase fresh fruits & vegetables.
  • Customers participate by purchasing SNAP tokens at the market’s SNAP booth. The value of the SNAP tokens received is matched with silver Double Up tokens. For example, a customer who spends $20 of SNAP receives $20 of Double Up, totaling to $40 of spending power.
  • No sign-up requirement for customers.
  • Program is offered from June 1, 2025 through October 31, 2025.
  • Double Up redemptions are reimbursed by Field & Fork to the fiscally responsible organization.

  • Double Up discounts are logged in a mobile application on a tablet or smartphone.

Benefits of participating in Double Up Food Bucks NY

Market Eligibility Requirements

  • The market must be authorized to accept SNAP and have an EBT processing device.
  • The market must have the organizational capacity to handle associated administration and reporting for the Double Up Food Bucks NY program.
  • The market must have support to participate in the program from the fiduciary organization (if different from the market organization).
  • The market must have a designated market manager, staff person, or volunteer responsible for the implementation of Double Up Food Bucks NY.
  • Markets must be located in New York State outside of New York City limits.
